Get to Task Manager with a 3 button shortcut in Windows 7

Broken COntrol KeyBy now, anyone using windows should be familiar with the 3 finger salute: Control+Alt+Delete, which in Windows XP or earlier opened the Task Manager. You could use Task Manager to kill frozen programs or specific processes. However, that changed in Windows Vista and now in Windows 7. In Vista and Windows 7, this key combination opens something different and you need to navigate using your mouse to open the Task Manager, but there's a better way. More after the break.Lifehacker in Go Directly to the Task Manager Using Your Keyboard reminds us that "the entire point of using keyboard shortcuts is to avoid having to use the mouse." But if Control + Alt + Delete doesn't work for us any longer, what will? Use Control + Shift  + Escape to bypass the new menu that opens with the old 3 finger salute of Control Alt Delete and go directly to the Task Manager once again. As I've said time and again, sometimes, it;s the little things that count.
